Erewash MP Jessica Lee joined the REF Flycasting Night this week, an event to teach flycasting to members wishing to learn from scratch or have their style tweaked by Tony Edwards expert flycasting coach. Jessica was casting into the Erewash in no time throwing herself into the job at hand and to be honest she was impressive in her determined approach.  Members were suprised how the Erewash MP joined us for the whole event until dusk,also taking part in a few competitions compared to the expected fleeting visit, it has to be said Jessica was keeping it real and not only suprised a few members but I dare say won a few over. The MP expresses an interest in her namesakes restoration work that we have already carried out, along with the REF's future plans so we thank her for her support to date in joining the casting night to help raise funds for future projects,

Thanks to committee member Tony Edwards for coaching us to raise much needed funds, hopefully attendees might take part in our Erewash Fly Fishing Match on Sunday 17th July for a fun day out.
